Nearly a year after the traumatic events set in motion by his ex-wife, Alex is looking forward to the next chapter of his life as a Special Agent with Homeland Security. In his last week with the Glynn County Police Department, he volunteers to return to the bike patrol on Saint Simons Island to help out during the Fourth of July festival. He’s once again paired with Steve Albright, his one-time best friend and now estranged brother-in-law. When a shooting on the island pulls them into a manhunt, the two must work together to find the suspect before anyone else is hurt.

Good story. This is a short story continuing in the life of a character we met in Love's Providence, written by the same author under a different name. Alex is a compelling fellow, has his feelings wrapped up pretty tight due lots of past hurt. But, while semi shut down in the feelings department, he is fully in control of his law enforcer persona. When we first met him in LP, he was bike cop, but now he's made detective. Author seems very familiar with the life of a cop, which lends a credible air to the story. Can't wait to read the Kill Code to see how Alex fares!Product details

I very much like the character of Alex Walker. The story line is moving and interesting. I appreciate the Christian aspect of this author's writing.

AlexAnder is heading to Homeland Security and this is his last actions before that.
He's hunting a father who's killed his wife and taken their five year old son. It resonates with Alex as he'd had to kill his insane ex-wife to stop her from doing the same to his girl friend.
Tense moments as he quietly talks with the man as SWAT gathers.
